LSUDad
2022 NFL mock draft: Only two quarterbacks go in first round BySAM MARSDALE 15 hours ago Share0 Comments Best Thing You Saw From Sunday's NFL Action We're prepeared to enter October, and NFL Draft talk is heating up. With some NFL teams wiunless through three weeks, fans are quick to turn their attention to the draft board, specifically the quarterback position. Oklahoma's Spencer Rattler is thought to be one of the biggest names for the 2022 draft, but he's struggled early on this year. Though Rattler is effective when he's on the move, 247Sports' Brandon Marcello noted Monday that it almost seems as ifthe quarterback was trying to force the issue at times in the West Virginia game. "And the other thing that's problematic to me — we talk about getting Spencer Rattler on the move, and that's where he's more comfortable," Marcello said. "Did it not seem watching that game last night that he was seeking out pressure as if he was trying to roll into pressure to speed things up into his own game? That's not a good thing for a quarterback to be doing. It's almost like he was trying to challenge himself. I didn't like it and it's going to be an issue for them throughout the season, because it's very clear that Rattler is not on the same level as — goodness gracious — the last three quarterbacks that have come through there, which are absolute the best-of-the-best and Heisman trophy guys. Rattler still goes in the top half of the first round on the latest mock draft from Pro Football Network's Cam Mellor. Check out every seleciton below: 1. HOUSTON TEXANS: DE KAYVON THIBODEAUX, OREGON (Photo: @ Craig Strobeck, 247Sports) Thibodeaux has been a defensive stalwart since signing with the Ducks in 2019. He played in all 14 games as a freshman, recording a team-high nine sacks and earning Pac 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and consensus Freshman All-American honors. In the abbreviated 2020 campaign, he had three sacks and won the Morris Award, granted annually to the Pac 12’s best offensive and defensive lineman. He returned from injury this weekend against Arizona, but found himself hobbled again towards the end of the game. 2. DETROIT LIONS: S KYLE HAMILTON, NOTRE DAME (Photo: ACC/Notre Dame, USA TODAY Sports) Hamilton has been one of the best players in college football this season. He has three interceptions in four games, and has been flying all over the field. He had a breakout campaign for Notre Dame in 2020, finishing his sophomore season with 63 tackles (4.5 for loss) with an interception and six passes defended. 3. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS: CB DEREK STINGLEY JR., LSU (Photo: The Advertiser, USA TODAY Sports) Stingley put himself on the map in 2019 after an outstanding season as a freshman. Stingley recorded 38 tackles and six interceptions that season, as well as deflecting 15 passes. That earned him First Team All-American and All-SEC honors. In seven games played in 2020, Stingley had just 27 tackles and five pass deflections, but it has not hurt his draft stock, as he is expected to be a top five pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. 4. NEW YORK JETS: OT EVAN NEAL, ALABAMA (Photo: Stuart McNair, 247Sports) Alabama has always had solid play up front on the offensive side of the ball and that has continued in 2021 After making 13 starts at left guard in 2019, Neal switched to right tackle last year where he also started 13 games. 5. CINCINNATI BENGALS: G/C KENYON GREEN, TEXAS A&M (Photo: Icon Sportswire, USA TODAY Sports) Green made the All-SEC Freshman Team in 2019 and was Second Team All-SEC in 2020, as well as winning First and Second Team All-American honors in 2020, depending on which publications you are looking at. Green is one of the top linemen in the entire country and will have all eyes on him this year with the national honors that he has earned already in his career. He moved to tackle this season after the Aggies lost four starters along the offensive line. 6. CAROLINA PANTHERS: DE GEORGE KARLAFTIS, PURDUE (Photo: Randy Litzinger/Icon Sportswire, Getty) An impact player since he was a true freshman in 2019, Karlaftis has 12 combined tackles and 1.5 sacks though four games this season. While the stats might not be flashy, Karlaftis has all the tools necessary to become a solid pass rusher at the next level. 7) PHILADELPHIA EAGLES: QB CARSON STRONG, NEVADA (Photo: John Locher/Associated Press) Strong had a big test against Kansas State last week, and it didn't quite go according to plan. Strong was 27-fo-40 for 262 yards, throwing a touchdown and an interception. Cocnerns about his knee will follow him leading up to the draft, but he's a quarterback most are high on. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS: CB ANDREW BOOTH JR., CLEMSON (Photo: Cory Fravel, 247Sports) Booth only played in four games during his freshman season but he made his presence known during his sophomore campaign. Booth recorded 27 tackles, three of which were for loss, and a sack during 2020, while also recording two interceptions and four pass deflections. It appears that Booth — a Second Team All-ACC pick last year — is just scratching the surface right now with what he can do on the field. He has 16 tackles and two passes defensed through three games in 2021. 9) NEW YORK GIANTS: C TYLER LINDERBAUM, IOWA (Photo: Bryon Houlgrave/The Des Moines Register, USA TODAY Sports) "Linderbaum came to Iowa as an All-American defensive tackle but converted to offense after his true freshman year," 247Sports' Chris Hummer wrote in July. "That move has worked out OK for both parties. Linderbaum was a first-team All-American and a Rimington Trophy finalist last year during a campaign that saw him surrender zero sacks and just three QB pressures all year, per PFF College. He could be Iowa’s next first-round draft pick." 10) ATLANTA FALCONS: QB MALIK WILLIS, LIBERTY (Photo: G Fiume, Getty) Willis burst onto the scene last season after transferring in from Auburn. In his first season with the program, he threw for 2,250 yards with 20 touchdowns and just six interceptions to go along with 944 yards and 14 scores on the ground over 11 games. He led the Flames to a 10-1 record, capping off the season with a 37-34 overtime win over No. 12 Coastal Carolina in the Cure Bowl. This season, he's thrown 10 touchdowns and no interceptions. 11) NEW YORK GIANTS: OT TREVOR PENNING, NORTHERN IOWA (Photo: USA TODAY Sports) "Trevor Penning — get to know the name now. Likely an NFL Scouting Combine darling or even a Senior Bowl favorite before, Penning should rocket up draft boards once people start paying attention," Pro Football Network's Cam Mellor wrote. 12) WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM: QB MATT CORRAL, OLE MISS (Photo: Marvin Gentry, USA TODAY Sports) Corral became the new Heisman frontrunner last week after a seven-touchdown outing against Tulane, pushing his name to the top of the lists across most major sportsbooks. Corral threw three touchdown passes (giving him nine this season) and rushed for four others as part of the Rebels' 61-point explosion against the Green Wave. Kiffin said before the season Corral is one of the top quarterback he has ever coached and the dual-threat has certainly proved that thus far. His performance at Alabama on Saturday will dictate how the top of the Heisman lists looks as we creep into October. 13. ARIZONA CARDINALS: EDGE DRAKE JACKSON, USC (Photo: Getty) Jackson, who already declared this season as his final at USC, led the trio as the No. 25 prospect. Jackson recently broke through for his first sack of the season in USC's Washington State win, which led to a defensive TD. Jackson has 13 tackles, two TFL and a pick in four games. 14) PITTSBURGH STEELERS: DT DEMARVIN LEAL, TEXAS A&M (Photo: Bailey Orr/Texas A&M Athletics) For the last two seasons, Leal has been a massive problem for opposing offensive lines as he has been a force to handle coming off of the defensive line. Leal has recorded 12.5 tackles for loss in two seasons, including seven last year, and 4.5 sacks in his first two seasons, putting the SEC and the entire college football world on notice of his abilities. He has 18 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks through four games this season. 15. DENVER BRONCOS: QB SPENCER RATTLER, OKLAHOMA (Photo: Parker Thune, 247Sports) Through four contests, Rattler has thrown more 1,017 yards and eight touchdowns, but has also been intercepted three times. Rattler has only managed for one touchdown pass in each of his three games vs. FBS competition, with five of those touchdown passes coming against Western Carolina. Some are questioning his draft status. (Photo: Junfu Han, USA TODAY Sports) 16. Minnesota Vikings: DE Aidan Hutchinson, Michigan 17. New England Patriots: CB Kaiir Elam, Florida 18. Los Angeles Chargers: G Ikem Ekwonu, NC State 19. Philadelphia Eagles: OT Daniel Faalele, Minnesota 20. Indianapolis Colts: OT Rasheed Walker, Penn State (Photo: Shotgun Spratling | USCfootball.com, Getty) 21. Dallas Cowboys: OT Nicholas Petit-Frere, Ohio State 22. New Orleans Saints: WR Chris Olave, Ohio State 23. Tennessee Titans: WR Drake London, USC 24. New York Jets: TE Jalen Wydermyer, Texas A&M 25. Cleveland Browns: WR Jalen Tolbert, South Alabama (Photo: Cory Fravel, 247Sports) 26. Detroit Lions: WR Justyn Ross, Clemson 27. Miami Dolphins: OT Sean Rhyan, UCLA 28. Baltimore Ravens: CB Ahmad Gardner, Cincinnati (Photo: Courtesy of Alabama Athletics) 29. Green Bay Packers: WR Garrett Wilson, Ohio State 30. Buffalo Bills: S Jordan Battle, Alabama 31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DE Myjai Sanders, Cincinnati 32. Kansas City Chiefs: WR Treylon Burks, Arkansas
LSUDad
Mel Kiper updates top-25 player rankings for 2022 NFL Draft BySAM MARSDALE 19 hours ago Share0 Comments Mike Tomlin Dismisses Rumor To Take USC Job With the midpoint of the 2021 college football season behind us, talk about the 2022 NFL Draft is only going to heat up. That continued Tuesday, when ESPN expert Mel Kiper released his latest edition of his top 25 players for the event. The big topic of conversation around this year's draft class is what some perceive as a lack of talent at the quarterback position. Kiper said that sentiment trickles into NFL front offices. "I can tell you that I'm not alone in that thought, as people inside the NFL feel the same way," Kiper wrote. "There hasn't been a quarterback who has stood head and shoulders above the rest in this class, unlike in the past two years when Trevor Lawrence was the wire-to-wire No. 1 prospect and Joe Burrow emerged as an elite prospect with one of the greatest seasons in college football history." Get the fastest scores, stats, news, LIVE videos, and more. CLICK HERE to download the CBS Sports Mobile App and get the latest on your team today. In Kiper's top 25 players for the 2022 NFL Draft, only two quarterbacks make the cut. Scroll the full rankings below to see which ones: 1. DE KAYBON THIBODERAUX, OREGON (Photo: Kyle Okita, 247Sports) Thibodeaux played his first full game of the season Saturday against UCLA, and he put on a show. The Los Angeles native put up 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in the victory. Widely considered the best prospect for this spring's NFL Draft, Thibodeaux has the ability to transform a defense from the day he steps on the field. 2. S KYLE HAMILTON, NOTRE DAME (Photo: Getty) For someone who is 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Hamilton's coverage abilities are downright scary. Not only can Hamilton move side to side in coverage with ease, but he can make plenty of plays around the line of scrimmage. He's combined for 34 tackles, four passes defensed and three interceptions this season. 3. CB DEREK STINGLEY, LSU (Photo: The Advertiser, USA TODAY Sports) Stingley is out an indefinite period of time with a foot injury, but that isn't hurting his NFL Draft stock. It remains to be seen whether or not he'll play another game at LSU. In three games played this season, he combined for eight tackles and one forced fumble. 4. WR DRAKE LONDON, USC (Photo: Shotgun Spratling | USCfootball.com, Getty) London is the focal point of the USC offense. At 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, he already has 79 receptions for 1,003 yards (12.7 average) and five touchdowns in seven games. When he gets to the NFL, it will be interesting to see what he can do when the defense isn't solely focused on him. 5. OT EVAN NEAL, ALABAMA (Photo: Getty) Alabama has always had solid play up front on the offensive side of the ball and that has continued in 2021 After making 13 starts at left guard in 2019, Neal switched to right tackle last year where he also started 13 games. This season, Neal switched to left tackle, where he's done a superb job of protecting Bryce Young's blindside. 6. DE AIDAN HUTCHINSON, MICHIGAN (Photo: Getty) Hutchinson is a complete defensive end. Through Michigan's 7-0 start, he has five sacks and has proven to be a stout defender in the running game. After a 2020 season that saw him not play much due to injury, Hutchinson has made some money in 2021. 7. OT CHARLES CROSS, MISSISSIPPI STATE (Photo: Jonathan Bachman, Getty) With the season starting to hit the home stretch, Cross is making himself some money. He was a five-star recruit coming out of high school with the projection of being a first round pick. After two seasons on the field, he’s starting to hit his potential with first round projections coming in for him in recent weeks. 8. LB DEVIN LLOYD, UTAH (Photo: Scott Stevens, Getty) Lloyd has been all over the field this season for the Utes. He has 69 total tackles and has added four sacks, 10 tackles for loss, two interceptions and a forced fumble. A former three-star recruit Lloyd came out of Chula Vista (Calif.) Otay Ranch as a safety, and was the 247Sports Composite's No. 1,631 rated player from the class of 2017. He's sure outplayed his ranking. 9. OT TREVOR PENNING, NORTHERN IOWA (Photo: Getty) Despite playing at FCS Northern Iowa, Penning's 6-foot-7, 321-pound frame stands out to scouts in a big way. While Penning doesn't routintely play against NFL talent, Northern Iowa is no stranger to NFL Draft picks. It had 2021 third-rounder Spencer Brown anchoring the right side from 2017-19, and Kiper believes Penning stands out more than Brown did. 10. DL DEMARVIN LEAL, TEXAS A&M (Photo: Jerome Miron, USA TODAY Sports) For the last two seasons, Leal has been a massive problem for opposing offensive lines as he has been a force to handle coming off of the defensive line. Leal recorded 12.5 tackles for loss in two seasons, including seven last year to go along with 4.5 sacks in his first two seasons, putting the SEC and the entire college football world on notice of his abilities. He has 35 combined tackles and 5.5 sacks through seven games this season. 11. WR JAMESON WILLIAMS, ALABAMA (Photo: Thomas Shea, USA TODAY Sports) Williams transferred to Alabama from Ohio State's crowded receiving room and could be the most explosive downfield weapon in college football this year and could legit be the fastest player in college football, too. Williams has 35 receptions for 710 yards (20.3 average) and six touchdowns. 12. C TYLER LINDERBAUM, IOWA (Photo: Getty) "Linderbaum came to Iowa as an All-American defensive tackle but converted to offense after his true freshman year," 247Sports' Chris Hummer wrote in July. "That move has worked out OK for both parties. Linderbaum was a first-team All-American and a Rimington Trophy finalist last year during a campaign that saw him surrender zero sacks and just three QB pressures all year, per PFF College. He could be Iowa’s next first-round draft pick." 13. ILB NAKOBE DEAN, GEORGIA (Photo: Icon Sportswire, Getty) The 6-foot, 225-pound Dean has started at inside linebacker in all six games this season and has combined for 18 tackles, 3.5 sacks and nine quarterback hurries. The former five-star prospect was Georgia's leading tackler in 2020 by a wide margin. With 71 total stops (40 solo), he had 19 more tackles than the next closest Bulldog defender, Lewis Cine. Dean also had 1.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and four quarterback hurries on the year. He was the only UGA inside linebacker to start all 10 games and was a semifinalist for the 2020 Butkus Award, given annually to the top linebacker in college football. 14. OLB KINGSLEY 'JJ' ENAGBARE (Photo: Ryan Bethea, 247Sports) For a South Carolina defense that has struggled this season, Enagbare has been a standout. He's picked up 4.5 sacks this season and has 17 quarterback pressures in his last three games. Kiper projects him as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense at the next level. 15. QB KENNY PICKETT, PITTSBURGH (Photo: Justin Berl, Getty) Pickett has improved every season at the college level and is having as good a year as any quarterback in the country, throwing for 2,235 yards while completing 68.9 percent of his passes with 23 touchdowns and one interception. Pro Football Focus has graded Pickett as the best passing quarterback in the country with at least 200 drop backs on the year. Pickett has been particularly impressive and efficient when pushing the ball downfield, completing 21 of 32 deep shots on the year for 730 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns on the year. (Photo: Grace Brennan-FOS/247) 16. WR Jahan Dotson, Penn State 17. OT Nicholas Petit-Frere, Ohio State The Big Ten's 2020 receiving yardage leader, Dotson has picked up right where he left off a season ago. The 5-foot-11, 184-pound speedster has 49 catches for 563 yards (11.5 average) and six touchdowns in seven games this season. Petit-Frere, meanwhile, has done a solid job moving from right tackle to left tackle this season. He's only allowed two pressures. (Photo: Kyle Robertson/Columbus Dispatch, USA TODAY Sports) 18. WR Garrett Wilson, Ohio State 19. CB Roger McCreary, Auburn In Ohio State's loaded receivers room, Wilson has stood out. He has 36 receptions for 605 yards (16.8 average) and six touchdowns this season. On the other hand, McCeary — a 6-foot, 190-pound corner — has six passes defensed and two interceptions this season. (Photo: Butch Dill, Getty) 20. QB Matt Corral, Ole Miss 21. WR Chris Olave, Ohio State Corral has an electric arm, and that's on display more than ever in Lane Kiffin's offense. In seven games, he's posted a 15:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio and has thrown for 1,913 yards. Despite being a possible first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Olave elected to return to the Buckeyes for his senior year, giving the Scarlet and Gray one of the best returning wide receivers, and players, in the country in 2021. So far this season, Olave has 32 catches for 518 yards (16.2 average) and eight touchdowns. (Photo: Dan Owen, 247Sports) 22. OT Daniel Faalele, Minnesota 23. WR Treylon Burks, Arkansas Faalele has an absolutely massive frame at 6-foot-9, 380 pounds. He started 19 games at right tackle for Minnesota from 2018-19 before opting out of last season, and he's impressed yet again this year. Burks currently leads the SEC with 717 receiving yards. He’s doing so despite a foot injury bothering him for the first two weeks of the season. The junior from Warren (Ark.) High has notched 100 receiving yards and at least one touchdown in five of his last six games. (Photo: USA TODAY Sports) 24. CB Kaiir Elam, Florida 25. QB Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati Elam has been limited to four games this season, but returned Saturday against LSU. He's combined for 12 tackles and has one interception this season. Ridder has improved this season, throwing 15 touchdown passes and three picks while completing 63.6% of his passes.
LSUDad
2022 NFL Mock Draft: Giants find replacement for Daniel Jones, Browns beef up receiving corps By Chris Trapasso Nov 24, 20211 min read Is Daniel Jones a brutal quarterback? No. Has he looked like a future franchise passer during his three seasons with the Giants? No. Of course, the situation has been less than ideal, and injuries have hampered many of the skill-position talent around him in 2021, but with a new GM likely, the Giants will probably be in the quarterback market in Round 1 in April. As for another team with a shaky quarterback situation, the Browns also have to prioritize the receiver group in 2022. And I have just the Alabama wideout for them. Alright, keep reading to see how all 32 picks unfold. One other thing, and this is important: now that we're past the midway point of the season, we're using the 2022 NFL Draft order (via tankathon, with results prior to Monday's game) to determine selections 1-32 below. Josh Edwards, Ryan Wilson, and I do a talk NFL draft on a weekly basis on YouTube and you can watch last week's episode here. It's appointment viewing as the first-round draft order comes together. NFL MOCK DRAFT ROUND 1 Round 1 - Pick 1 Aidan Hutchinson DE MICHIGAN • SR • 6'6" / 265 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Detroit PROSPECT RNK 7th POSITION RNK 3rd How about Hutchinson at No. 1? He has an NFL body, is believed to be a freak athletically, and has had massive production at Michigan. Round 1 - Pick 2 Evan Neal OL ALABAMA • JR • 6'7" / 350 LBS PROJECTED TEAM N.Y. Jets PROSPECT RNK 7th POSITION RNK 3rd Neal isn't a perfect prospect, but he's the position the Jets absolutely need for the future of their organization. Round 1 - Pick 3 Kyle Hamilton S NOTRE DAME • JR • 6'4" / 219 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Jacksonville PROSPECT RNK 1st POSITION RNK 1st The Jaguars would probably be primed to trade down if this is how the board falls, but Hamilton is a supremely gifted back-seven player. Round 1 - Pick 4 Kenny Pickett QB PITTSBURGH • SR • 6'3" / 220 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Houston PROSPECT RNK 15th POSITION RNK 2nd Let's get a little crazy here. Some would think Pickett doesn't have much more of a higher ceiling than Davis Mills, but he's much more careful with the football and has better and more natural improvisational skills. Round 1 - Pick 5 Malik Willis QB LIBERTY • JR • 6'1" / 195 LBS PROJECTED TEAM N.Y. Giants PROSPECT RNK 30th POSITION RNK 3rd What the Giants need to do for 2022 is sign an established veteran, then address the quarterback position early in the draft. Willis is raw but has All-Pro upside. From Seattle Seahawks Round 1 - Pick 6 Kayvon Thibodeaux DE OREGON • SOPH • 6'5" / 258 LBS PROJECTED TEAM N.Y. Jets PROSPECT RNK 2nd POSITION RNK 1st The Jets have a strong defensive front -- especially when you factor in Carl Lawson's 2022 return -- but this is a dream scenario for Robert Saleh. From Chicago Bears Round 1 - Pick 7 Ikem Ekwonu OT NC STATE • SOPH • 6'4" / 320 LBS PROJECTED TEAM N.Y. Giants PROSPECT RNK 12th POSITION RNK 1st New quarterback and a new left tackle with the strength and athleticism to hit the ground running. Perfect for the start of the Giants' rebuild. From Miami Dolphins Round 1 - Pick 8 Derek Stingley Jr. CB LSU • JR • 6'1" / 195 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Philadelphia PROSPECT RNK 3rd POSITION RNK 1st The Eagles can address the offense and defensive front later in Round 1. Stingley is a blue-chip prospect falling into their lap here. Can't pass on him. Round 1 - Pick 9 Kenyon Green OL TEXAS A&M • JR • 6'4" / 325 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Atlanta PROSPECT RNK 10th POSITION RNK 1st The Falcons need...a lot, and with two quarterbacks off the board they decide on an established SEC blocker to build the talent on the offensive line. Round 1 - Pick 10 Chris Olave WR OHIO STATE • SR • 6'1" / 188 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Washington PROSPECT RNK 8th POSITION RNK 1st Does the Washington Football Team really need a quarterback desperately? If Taylor Heinicke plays like he did in Week 11, it may not. Instead the team gets him another refined weapon to pair with Terry McLaurin. Round 1 - Pick 11 George Karlaftis DE PURDUE • JR • 6'4" / 275 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Philadelphia PROSPECT RNK 6th POSITION RNK 2nd The Eagles have to add to their defensive front, and Karlaftis has serious abilities as a three-down edge rusher. Round 1 - Pick 12 Matt Corral QB OLE MISS • JR • 6'2" / 205 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Carolina PROSPECT RNK 10th POSITION RNK 1st The Panthers are building...something under Matt Rhule, but this club will never take off unless it gets its long-term answer at quarterback. Cam Newton can be the perfect mentor for Corral and will allow him to sit for a while before starting. Round 1 - Pick 13 Kingsley Enagbare LB SOUTH CAROLINA • SR • 6'4" / 260 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Denver PROSPECT RNK 21st POSITION RNK 2nd Enagbare needs to add to his pass-rush move arsenal, but the athleticism profile is absolutely top-half-of-the-first-round quality. From San Francisco 49ers Round 1 - Pick 14 Tyler Linderbaum OL IOWA • JR • 6'3" / 290 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Miami PROSPECT RNK 24th POSITION RNK 6th I keep going back to this pairing. The Dolphins have to get nastier up front, and Linderbaum does not play around. Round 1 - Pick 15 Garrett Wilson WR OHIO STATE • JR • 6'0" / 192 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Las Vegas PROSPECT RNK 8th POSITION RNK 1st More receiver help for Derek Carr in Vegas. Wilson is a springy speedster with a complete game. From Indianapolis Colts Round 1 - Pick 16 Nakobe Dean LB GEORGIA • JR • 6'0" / 225 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Philadelphia PROSPECT RNK 27th POSITION RNK 3rd Howie Roseman has a long history of waiting on linebacker, so how about not picking the super-talented Dean until his third first-round pick? Round 1 - Pick 17 Jameson Williams WR ALABAMA • JR • 6'2" / 189 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Cleveland PROSPECT RNK 13th POSITION RNK 3rd Williams is going in the first round. And regardless of what the Browns decide to do at quarterback, the receiver spot has to be addressed. Round 1 - Pick 18 Kaiir Elam CB FLORIDA • JR • 6'2" / 196 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Pittsburgh PROSPECT RNK 26th POSITION RNK 4th The Steelers secondary has to get younger on the perimeter, and Elam has the press-man skills that'll be welcomed in Pittsburgh. Round 1 - Pick 19 Treylon Burks WR ARKANSAS • JR • 6'3" / 225 LBS PROJECTED TEAM New Orleans PROSPECT RNK 22nd POSITION RNK 4th Did you see Burks against Alabama? Grown man. Burks will acclimate quickly as a big slot in Sean Payton's offense. Round 1 - Pick 20 Andrew Booth Jr. CB CLEMSON • JR • 6'0" / 200 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Minnesota PROSPECT RNK 11th POSITION RNK 2nd Booth is a natural playmaker who'd make perfect sense in Mike Zimmer's scheme. Round 1 - Pick 21 Thayer Munford OL OHIO STATE • SR • 6'6" / 321 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Buffalo PROSPECT RNK 52nd POSITION RNK 9th Munford has tackle/guard versatility and a complete game to be a rookie starter in Buffalo. Round 1 - Pick 22 Drake London WR USC • JR • 6'5" / 210 LBS PROJECTED TEAM L.A. Chargers PROSPECT RNK 23rd POSITION RNK 5th London stays home in Los Angeles and will be another target with a large catch radius for Justin Herbert. Round 1 - Pick 23 Charles Cross OL MISSISSIPPI STATE • SOPH • 6'5" / 310 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Cincinnati PROSPECT RNK 29th POSITION RNK 5th Cross is young and somewhat raw, but his play this season has led to legitimate first-round consideration. More protection for Joe Burrow. From Los Angeles Rams Round 1 - Pick 24 Jahan Dotson WR PENN STATE • SR • 5'11" / 184 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Detroit PROSPECT RNK 18th POSITION RNK 3rd Dotson would provide the Lions with what they desperately need: a dynamic weapon at wideout. He can win at all three levels. Round 1 - Pick 25 DeMarvin Leal DL TEXAS A&M • JR • 6'4" / 290 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Kansas City PROSPECT RNK 9th POSITION RNK 1st The Chiefs simply can't pass on someone as talented as Leal this late in Round 1. He's a disruptor regardless of where he aligns. Round 1 - Pick 26 Arnold Ebiketie DE PENN STATE • SR • 6'3" / 256 LBS PROJECTED TEAM New England PROSPECT RNK 37th POSITION RNK 7th Ebiketie is going to fly up boards over the next few months. He's a chiseled specimen who's produced at a high level this season. Round 1 - Pick 27 Jalen Wydermyer TE TEXAS A&M • JR • 6'5" / 255 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Dallas PROSPECT RNK 44th POSITION RNK 1st Another pass-catching option for Dak Prescott. Wydermyer has been super-reliable for the Aggies over the past two seasons. Round 1 - Pick 28 Derion Kendrick DB GEORGIA • SR • 6'0" / 190 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Tampa Bay PROSPECT RNK 14th POSITION RNK 1st More youthful investment in the secondary for the Buccaneers with the pro-ready Kendrick. Round 1 - Pick 29 Trent McDuffie DB WASHINGTON • SOPH • 5'11" / 195 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Baltimore PROSPECT RNK 50th POSITION RNK 3rd McDuffie's versatility makes him the ideal fit in Baltimore's blitz-happy defense. Round 1 - Pick 30 Devin Lloyd LB UTAH • JR • 6'3" / 235 LBS PROJECTED TEAM Green Bay PROSPECT RNK 19th POSITION RNK 2nd Lloyd could sneak into the first round because of his range, tackling prowess, and coverage ability.
