Herb Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 We will probably see a fair amount of playing time for 5 star true freshman saftey Sage Ryan. Burns is out. Chris Rodriguez for Kentucky currently leads the SEC in rushing yards with 612. He’s also on pace to have 270 (!) carries this season. Compare that to our RBs getting 5-10 carries per game. Kentucky’s pass defense is currently sixth in the SEC (180.2 passing yards allowed per game), and the secondary hasn’t mustered a lot of turnovers (three interceptions through five games). While the Wildcats haven’t broken as a defensive unit per say, they have bent at times, and they haven’t been dominant. Prior to Saturday’s game against Kentucky, the Tigers are 1-3 in their last four games against ranked opponents and 0-1 this year. Prior to 2020, LSU posted a 17-7 record against top 25 opponents. Max Johnson has gotten off to a hot start for his sophomore season. Through five games, the southpaw has 16 touchdowns. His next scoring throw will tie him with Josh Booty (2000), Jordan Jefferson (2009), and Alan Risher (1982) at No. 10 for touchdown passes in a single season. 1 Quote
cadillacattack Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Going to be a tough challenge…. this isn’t our daddy’s Mildcat team. Well balanced team, with a LEGIT play-action fake and a solid running game. Stoops has something special cooking up this season …. Quote
