Texas remains No. 1 in the Baseball America Top 25 after it swept Alabama to stay perfect on the year. The Longhorns flexed their muscles on the mound this weekend, holding the Menstrual Wave to just one run. Texas has already thrown 4 shutouts this season. Overall, the SEC had 4 teams in the top 10, led by Ole Miss at No. 6, which took 2 games from VCU. A 2-run blast from Tywone Malone that went out of the park over the right field wall, some 404 feet, that may have gotten the biggest cheer of the day. The home run, Malone’s first as a Rebel, ended the contest at that moment by run rule. Vanderbilt at No. 7 shut out Army 6-0 on Sunday to sweep the weekend series at Hawkins Field.
