The LSU Tigers will reportedly soon have a new subscription video service. According to Extra Points’ Matt Brown, the Tigers will be unveiling LSU Gold, a product that is expected to be launched later this summer. “In addition, this summer we will launch a new and innovative way to generate revenue for our department,” the document said, via Brown. “It is important to be on the frontlines of new initiatives while helping create unique and authentic opportunities for LSU and our student-athletes. This summer, we will launch LSU Gold – an exciting new subscription service! “Our staff who is responsible for creating content for our student-athletes, coaches, and programs is one of the best in the nation, and Gold will allow this departmenet to grow and continue to epitomize excellence. Through Gold, we are partnering with Playfly Sports Properties to invest in the production of unique, exclusive, creative content designed to bring inspiring storytelling directly to the LSU community.” LSU Gold is rounding out its staff, production team When LSU Gold is officially launched, Emily Dixon and Cody Worsham will be leading the charge. The two have previously worked with LSU in creative content roles, and they will play prominent roles as this new service begins rolling out. The university plans to use LSU Gold to benefit the school as a whole, including other areas outside of athletics. “This staff, including our photography, graphic design, creative video, and social media teams, is being rebranded as South Stadium Productions,” said LSU. “Emily Dixon, who was recently promoted to serve as our Chief of Creative Content, will continue to oversee South Stadium Productions’ creative video team while taking the lead on LSU Gold. She is in the process of hiring the Gold staff, moving their offices to the South Stadium end zone, and continuing to build out the model to ensure Gold is successful. “Cody Worsham was also recently promoted to serve as our Chief Brand Officer and will oversee South Stadium Productions’ photography, graphic design, social media, and podcasts. We have witnessed Cody’s talents through his magical writing of stories and scripts, his variety of podcasts, and his overall departmental efforts of strategic and purposeful messaging.
