Pocorello's Casa D'Italia Has Closed

After years of being a BTR tradition, they have closed the doors. The Mom and Pop Italian store/restaurant has shut  down. 

This place has been a meeting place for years, the Friday Lunch Crew. 

None of the kids wanted to take it over. 
Muffalettas,  Stuffed Artichokes, Italian Sausage, Meatballs, the list was there. 

For now, the Friday Crew is getting together at Rocco’s PoBoys. 

I’m still debating getting a Muffaletta from Rocco’s. 
 

Since meeting at Rocco’s, the Pocorellos have stopped by and had lunch with us.

Also heard George's which shut down during COVID is not gonna reopen and the building has been sold. Fleur De Lis Pizza has closed as well.

The owner of George’s Smokie Bourgeois passed away. The one on George O’Neil is still open.

They shut down Sammy’s restaurant on the Airline Hwy. Word out, it will be another Mike Andersons. I haven’t checked, but I don’t think Mike has much to do with this one, like the one in Gonzales. I’m guessing Harry Robert might be in on this one also.
