Nutriaitch Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 So, we got 7 games under our belts. My thoughts and comments I like what I've seen so far from the lineup. No, we haven't exactly faced a gauntlet of pitchers, but hitting is hitting. The power numbers may be misleading a little thus far due to the winds blowing OUT well before they normally shift that way. If this weather trend holds until April when they tend to shift permanently and the heat and humidity adds to trampoline effect, this could be our best power hitting year in a while. Pitchers. After just over a year, I'm not sold on Hess as a starter. And definitely not a Friday night guy. I still have yet to watch Marceaux threaux. But i need to make that happen. Jaden Hill looks solid and I REALLY like him as our Sunday guy so far. Beck is going to be a solid middle inning relief guy. Peterson is Peterson. (for now). Need Hilliard to return to the mound. Anyone have any updates on him? BUT WE HAVE NO LEFTIES this may bite us in the keyster later. but I think if Walker can be 2017 Walker again, we can move him to Friday nights. Hilliard (assuming he is ready) can be the midweek guy. Put Hess back in the pen. Either as a closer with Peterson being the setup man, or..... use Hess as THE guy when you need 1-3 outs, regardless of inning, or handedness of the batter. won't completely eliminate the need for a quirky southpaw, but might alleviate it some what. anyone else want to chime in??
Fishhead Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Agree on Hess, Marceaux looked great first start, decent last weekend, and horrendous today. I FRIGGIN HATE WALKS! FIRE DUNN!!
Nutriaitch Posted March 3, 2019 Author Posted March 3, 2019 curious how deep they let Walker geaux today.
