Big win tonight. The Tigers became the first LSU team in program history to go 9-0 on the road in SEC play. The 1980-81 team went 8-0 on the road in conference play.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In its seventh overtime game of the season, No. 13 LSU finished an undefeated road record in SEC play with a 79-78 victory over Florida.

The Tigers became the first LSU team in program history to go 9-0 on the road in SEC play. The 1980-81 team went 8-0 on the road in conference play.

Emmitt Williams led the Tigers with a double-double, 13 points and 14 rebounds to go with two blocks. Tremont Waters had a team-high 19 points to go with six assists. Javonte Smart recorded 15 points. Kavell Bigby-Williams added three blocks.

Jalen Hudson had a big game on his senior night, recording 33 points. Kevarrius Hayes, also a senior, led the GayTurds with 15 rebounds while Andrew Nembhard recorded four assists.

The Tigers will look to clinch a share of the SEC title on Saturday at home against Vanderbilt at 7:30 p.m. CT.

We played sloppy and if we play like that against any opponent in the NCAA Tournament, we'll be one and done.

We had 4 players with 4 fouls each and lucked out that none of those players fouled out at the end. The refs would have been more than happy to call a ticky tack foul on any of them.

Speaking of luck, when we pissed away the chance to put the game away at the end of both regulation and overtime we relied on the opponent to bounce a shot off of the rim or not make the shot at the end of overtime.

Nevertheless, we persisted.

And won.
