Nutriaitch Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 ok, I'm not ready for Baseball to be over, so looking ahead to next year's roster. just like last year, I'm not going to even attempt to guess about potential transfers, just guys going to draft or graduating. 1st up, guy who have exhausted their college eligibility: Alex Milazzo Hayden Travinski Ben Nippolt Mac Bingham Nate Ackenhausen Will Hellmers Christian Little without O'Malley, Vibe and Ack, we don't have a 2023 title. Little was a big part of our late season run this year. Hellmers gave us a shot to win last night. all 5 of those dudes will be missed. Juniors (all draft eligible) Justin Loer Michael Braswell Josh Pearson Sam Dutton Thatcher Hurd Luke Holman Fidel Ulloa Tommy Tanks Javen Coleman I don't know if Loer and Coleman have shown enough to justify leaving, but the MLB loves them some lefty pitchers, so who knows. Holman is good as gone. Had phenomenal season and will be drafted high enough to leave. Hurd likely gets drafted on potential too. Especially if scouts only watch his tape from the months with the letters J.U.N.E in them Tommy Tanks. Top 20 MLB pick. He's played his last game here unfortunately. Braswell and Pearson are crap shoots. 50/50 either way Dutton hasn't shown enough to get picked very high. Ulloa needs more innings. Anyone Curious why we didn't meet expectations this year need look no farther than this class (Paul's last signing class) that should have been the foundation of the team. Every single major contributor (other than Pearson) on this list are guys that transferred in. Draft Eligible Sophomores Gavin Guidry Jared Jones Paxton Kling Griffin Herring Gage Jump Kade Woods Be prepared to take an absolute beating in this category. Bear, Jump, and most likely Herring will all be drafted. Guidry is another crap shoot. Quote
Nutriaitch Posted June 4, 2024 Author Posted June 4, 2024 to recap: contributors we're losing (due to eligibility): Millazzo Travinski Ackenhausen Hellmers Little contributors that we are "definitely" losing to the draft: Tanks Bear Jump Holman contributors that I think we're losing but might have a chance to keep: Herring Hurd contributors that are at least 50/50 to get taken high enough to leave (and our luck hasn't been great in this regard): Guidry Loer Pearson Braswell Coleman 1 Quote

Hatchertiger Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 (edited) Jay loading up again for next year. Superman and Chuck Norris don't check under their respective beds each night for Jay Johnson because they know he's out recruiting. Edited July 26, 2024 by Hatchertiger 1 Quote
