I'm not a fan of 2 #7s.  Thats always been a significant defense player.  Will Campbell is a great player but I think #7 should stay in defense

ETA:  I just checked roster and I guess they didnt do that after all.  Was listening to one of the videos Posted by Moscona who said Will Campbell also was given #7.

Campbell can't wear #7 playing on the OL, so he will still wear 66 as his jersey number with a #7 patch. Just like he did last year.

so while we only have 1 person wearing a 7 jersey, we kinda do have 2 #7's.

 

and I agree, it's stupid to do.

these numbers are either special or they aren't.

7 is supposed to be your playmaker (Brian Kelly added the "from Louisiana" caveat).
supposed to be the main standout type.
can't have 2 of those

18 is your team leader on and off the field. A special character person that defines what it means to be a Tiger.
supposed to be a special breed of person, not just player.
