Fishhead
Nootch and I get together in our new digs, but unfortunately it's to discuss our FIFTH STRAIGHT OPENING GAME LOSS!! Hope you guys like to new set up. Still some kinks to work out. We are limited to a certain amount of time and we BARELY exceeded it and had to re-do the whole thing. It'll continue to improve. Once we get it situated, we hope to have a guest with us every now and then. But until then...........

houtiger
Good job as usual! When y'all talked about Trey Holley (a RB who did not play) you didn't mention our other scholly RB who also did not play, true frosh Caden Durham. He's about 5' 10 and 205 last I saw, but he has track speed. I think we'll see him this year, especially with Emery going down. I agree with not playing him against USC, it was too big of a game first game of the season. Maybe we'll see him against Nicholls. Another guy we did not see was Toviano. He's being punished, but I wonder when he will see the field. I think he would improve the secondary. I think he played safety in high school and we moved him to corner because we needed help there last year. Back to safety? Here is Caden Durham's 10.5 hundred meter in high school: https://www.athletic.net/result/0Ni2ELKi3i83yRgc0/
Fishhead
IDK if we see Durham this year but if we do, it'll be in the next few weeks during the "get right" games. Toviano... God help us, please put him at safety! That and get Alexander back to full go.

I don't recall seeing him out there, probably in the doghouse for running his own version of pornhub. Hopefully he gets back to the field soon. Oh, and you no longer have to use "www"
Hatchertiger
I haven't watched the game again to study the details of the game. However, I have read that part of the reason we couldn't run the ball in the second half is that U Stink stacked the box. Well if that is true, where were the audibles out of the run up the middle? At one point the camera switched to the booth and Sloan was going postal about something. I wonder if there was some disconnect between the booth and the QB? Wouldn't surprise me. Relatively new QB and Sloan's first time calling plays at this level. Y'all talked about Lacy's disappearance. For me that was the biggest mystery. They couldn't stop him in the first half. And I realize they played 2 high safeties but they were giving us underneath. Keep riding that and make them change the defense. No. Let's switch to running up the middle with our RBs, something we couldn't do last year and couldn't do in that game. I posted this elsewhere but that's one trait Miles' team had, they were physical. Need to bring back The Big Cat Drill. This team doesn't know who it is yet. Most frustrating part is we could have won the game. Take the 3 and we eventually would have had a 10 point lead. That creates a different mindset for both teams. The season is far form over. Lots of football to play. Go Tigers!!!

Lots of football to play. Go Tigers!!! Agree except take the 3. Hindsight is 20/20. With regards to Lacy, yeah, keep doing that. I'm good with dink and dunk if you can't get short yardage run game going. But at some point you're in the red zone and gotta figure something out. Any threat of Nuss running would've opened things up. Evidently he has polio like Gregory Clayton did. Run an end around or something. Anything but right up the middle into a stacked box.
Hatchertiger
5 hours ago, Fishhead said: Hindsight is 20/20. In the aftermath of events, we often look back to analyze our decisions and experiences. We compare our prior expectations of how things would pan out against our current perspective. “Of course,” we may comment, “hindsight is always 20/20.” We may say this in an attempt to console ourselves or others for not anticipating the actual outcome when it seems so obvious now. Perhaps we sometimes say it to encourage this exercise of backward-looking analysis. At times, we may be correct in concluding that an event could not have been anticipated. Either way, we’re undoubtedly right to look back to see what we can learn. Even if a specific event could not have been expected and will never happen again, something else will happen. Valuing hindsight stems rightly from an appreciation that if we can identify what would have either prevented or made us better prepared to weather prior events, we can better prepare for future events. Nonetheless, hindsight isn’t 20/20, and even if it were, that would not always be good enough. Questioning the 20/20 assumption and considering the real relationship between foreknowledge, disruptive events and hindsight can prove helpful in more effectively approaching multiple aspects of life, from career plans to business performance to personal life. To look at this from a different angle, consider the problem of expected values. When we roll a pair of dice, we know that the possible outcomes are any number from two to twelve. However, we also know that the most likely numbers to roll, statistically speaking, are those in the middle. Seven is most common, six and eight follow closely behind, five and nine are a bit less common and so on. As a result, when we roll dice, the expected value is in the middle range of commonly rolled numbers. Maybe we leave a little margin, but we often don’t account for all the most uncommon possibilities.

Hatchertiger
I predict that Nuss will pull the ball and run today. If not let’s line him up under center and put a fullback and RB behind him and run toss dive until the cows come home.
