Excellent one Dad!  After LSUDad finished running all over the country, we got together for a national championship lunch celebration, and passed a good time!  Two hours of solid LSU football, with good food, and they gave us each a $10 coupon to come back with our wives!!!

A few things.  I watched the OK game again, then deleted it from my DVR.  Due to suspension and injury, they were a depleted team, not the one that went 12-1.

LSUDad told me about a good 30 minute special on the SEC network that was "SEC Inside - CFP nat. champ. special" and I can skip the first 10 minutes and watch the highlights of the Clemson game.  At the end is something I did not know.  In the locker room, O gives his talk, complimenting the players, and he talks about the team commitment, "no going out all frikin season".  Wow, I never heard that.  These guys must have been focused on winning the SEC and maybe the natty, all year long.

Games I still have, Auburn, Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia, and Clemson.  Texas, Florida and Oklahoma have gone the way of the buffalo!

Edited: And another thing.  Watching the Clemson game, something nobody has talked about was LSU's ability to deal with the blitz and make you pay.  Clemson came after Joe hard a couple of notable times.  On one, an outside LB came straight at Joe, CEH went out to the spot vacated by the OLB, and Joe hit him in stride, the ball was out of Joe's hand in less than one second!  You can't do that unless you KNOW they are going to blitz, where the blitz will come from, and where you are going with the ball, BEFORE IT IS SNAPPED!  You can't figure that out all in one second.  LSU got a good gain on that play.  There was another similar play, I think it was early in the second half, they came after Joe from his left and Joe threw it over the blitzers to JaMarr on the sideline, and Saahdiq went out to block for him, and LSU got a big gain out of that play.  Clearly Joe was the key to those plays, but the whole team was on the same page, the o-line, and the hot receiver.  Outstanding scouting, preparation, recognition, and execution!  Dang those guys were GREAT!

What Joe did with his reads, not many in college, do that. Very few can check down, Joe does too many things well. To know where everyone is on the field, that have left the LOS.

Joe is as much NFL ready as anyone coming out this year.

Some word, a number of teams would like to move up and get Joe.

Media predicts preseason All-SEC teams, order of finish; 4 Cats included

Who will win the SEC East? The conference championship? The media sounds off.

The college football season is just over a month away, and now we have an idea of how the SEC ‘could’ play out in 2019.

On Friday, the media released its preseason All-SEC picks, as well a the predicted order of finish for both divisions and who will be the 2019 SEC champs.

Alabama received 203 votes to be crowned champions of the SEC on December 7 in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, while Georgia was second with 49 votes. Only seven times since 1992 has the predicted champion at SEC Media Days proceeded to win the SEC Championship Game.

Georgia is the favorite to win the SEC East, but Kentucky did get one first-place vote. In addition, four Wildcats received preseason All-SEC team picks in center Drake Jackson, guard Logan Stenberg, linebacker Kash Daniel and receiver/returner Lynn Bowden.

Here is a look at the predicted order of finish for every SEC school and how many votes each team received (first-place place votes in parenthesis):

EASTER DIVISION

  • Georgia (233) 1789
  • Florida (21) 1499
  • Missouri (3) 1149
  • South Carolina (1) 883
  • Tennessee (1) 804
  • Kentucky (1) 798
  • Vanderbilt 358

WESTERN DIVISION

  • Alabama (253) 1813
  • LSU (5) 1493
  • Texas A&M 1268
  • Auburn (1) 1090
  • Mississippi State (1) 769
  • Ole Piss 504
  • Arkansas 343

SEC CHAMPION

  • Alabama 203
  • Georgia 49
  • LSU 3
  • Mississippi State 1
  • Tennessee 1
  • Florida 1
  • South Carolina 1
  • Auburn 1

You don't hear Steve talk that much, but I like listening to him.  He seems like a humble guy, but competitive.  That's a nice mix.

He is kind of quiet. But he will talk football. He likes to talk Football, don’t we all. Restaurants are starting to open, gonna let the smoke clear. But I’m ready to sit at a bar, watch a sporting event. These closures have hurt so many. The Tiger Fans were really fortunate, we had the longest season in college football.

Who was the best team we played in 2019?  I think InbredGumps was, better than Clemson this year.  Tua played better at QB on one leg than Trevor did.  The InbredGumps receivers were better.  Najee Harris was better than Etienne.  I think InbredGumps was the tougher out, and I think Tua's injury hampered him as he was no threat to run.

I watched the Ohio St/ Clemson game again today, just parts. Both those teams were good. Real good. What we did with Clemson, a good amount of time to prepare.
Auburn’s Defense was really good. Their front 7 were really good.
