LSUDad Posted May 31, 2020 Share Posted May 31, 2020 LSU's Ed Orgeron named Louisiana's top coach AMOS MORALE III MAY 29, 2020 - 11:10 AM LSU football coach Ed Orgeron was named the Allstate Sugar Bowl’s Outstanding Collegiate Coach for the State of Louisiana The Greater New Orleans Sports Awards Committee announced Friday. Orgeron led LSU to a 15-0 season and a CFP National Championship, which the Tigers claimed in New Orleans. Orgeron’s 2019 team set several records as LSU became the only program in SEC history to have a 4,000-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher and two 1,000-yard receivers in the same season. He also coached the NFL's top draft pick Joe Burrow to an outstanding season that saw him become the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Year, Heisman Trophy and Manning Award.
