Hatchertiger
Money talks, didley-poo walks. Quote Top 25 college programs ranked by active NFL earnings 4. LSU, $630,786,764 Before Nick Saban arrived in Baton Rouge, LSU was a good program, but not a great one. But ever since the 2000’s, the Tigers have been among college football’s best at churning out NFL talent. While the 2020 NFL Draft’s No. 1 pick, quarterback Joe Burrow, might set the bar for all future LSU players, the current list of the program’s top earners is pretty balanced. Topping the list isn’t Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry or Tyrann Mathieu, but rather an offensive lineman. Los Angeles Rams left tackle Andrew Whitworth is the highest active earner among LSU products. By the end of the 2020 season, he will have made almost $89 million. Of course, the 38-year old has played in the league for 15 years, the first 11 of which with the Cincinnati Bengals. Whitworth re-upped with the Rams on a three-year contract extension worth a shade north of $30 million. Perennial All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson ranks second among former LSU stars, as the Arizona Cardinals star is set to make $82.1 million once the upcoming season is finished. https://247sports.com/college/lsu/LongFormArticle/Top-25-college-football-programs-ranked-active-NFL-earnings-Georgia-California-Alabama-LSU-Miami-Oklahoma-Ohio-State-Florida-Michigan-Florida-State-148171308/#148171308_1
