Nutriaitch Posted February 21, 2021 Author Share Posted February 21, 2021 Hellmers is a liability now at 3rd. that 4 errors called on him in 2 games (should have been 5). 2 of today's runs unearned thanks to his errors. 2 more runs scored thanks to a strike zone suddenly shrinking down to less than the width of a baseball after being off the outside corner for 8.5 innings. Floyd did not look near as bad as his stat line will read Zach Arnold is offensive player of game (again) thanks to the big go ahead hit in the 8th. Not sure that is the spot to test your true freshman pitcher. i probably would have gone with either Do tenor or Beck in that spot. but in this kid’s defense, the strike zone suddenly shrunk to about the size of a baseball card in the 9th. All game long ump had a zone that was about a baseball’s width off the plate to outside. Then suddenly balls that were catching some white wasn’t good enough. mine pitch by George was in the exact spot you would set up a Tee in practice that was called a ball.
