Nutriaitch
Welp, another season ends. And it's the damndest season I've ever seen. This is the most contradictory team in LSU history We had stud pitchers that could get no run support. Marceaux should have been 11-2 or so with his ERA and strikeout numbers. But at the same time, we also had a potent lineup with no damn arms. We finished 4th in country in Homers, and had the SEC leader in RBI (Dugas). We somehow made it farther than we had any business making it. There is no reason why this squad was in a regional, let alone a super. But at the same time, under achieved greatly. This roster should be in Omaha and the new coach is inheriting a loaded deck. We seemed to melt under the pressure of big games, blowing leads, etc. But then at the same time were the gritty bastards that just wouldn't die. We rose above the moment while our opponents melted. But then at the end of the day, it is what we've come to expect. The season ended early. again. It ended because we can't manage a pitching staff. again. It ended because we have no quality depth on the mound. again. but in true 2021 fashion, it also ended because we couldn't hit. In the finale we hit 4 tanks. But we also couldn't hit for shyte.
Hatchertiger
Yes at some point there was a quote in the paper about this team being capable of beating or losing to any team in the country.
LSUDad
You just never knew what you were getting in a game. Consistently inconsistent?
