Bud Johnson, former Sports Information Director at LSU during the "Maravich era.”.He had just turned 88 a couple of weeks ago....His first job at LSU was the Assistant Athletic Publicity Director in 1958, which he later gave his account of the LSU Football National Championship season that year in the book, "A Perfect Season." Born in New Orleans, a native of Ponchatoula and longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He also served as public relations director for the New Orleans Jazz, as well as assistant sports information director at Tulane..His last job at LSU was being the Director of the Andonie Museum.....Bud lived the final years of his life in 'Old Metairie.' 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
