QB Jayden Daniels was named the Charles McClendon Most Valuable Player at the 2022 LSU Football Awards Show Sunday night. LB Harold Perkins was named the Percy E. Roberts Defensive Player of the Year. Freshman Tight End @MasonTaylor52 earned the Dr. Charles E. Coates Academic Award. DB @Gbrooks5_ was named the Newcomer of the Year. DL @WingoMekhi was named the Alvin Roy Award winner, which goes to the player who has shown the most dedication to the athletic development program. OL @turner_cha75 was named the Most Improved Player on Offense. LB @Mikeyytb was named the Most Improved Player on Defense. DL @Bj_O9 was the George M. Wallace Award Winner, which goes to a player who distinguishes themself by performance, leadership, and commitment to team. Freshman @will_campbell66 was named the Lineman of the Year. DL @unos1_ was named the Butch Duhe Award Winner, which goes to the player whose character and contributions most personify the idea of unselfishness, dependability, and commitment to the team. DB @TheJBnard was named the Back of the Year. Punter @jbram_15 was named the Percy E. Roberts Special Teams Player of the Year. RB @kingjosheee was named the Percy E.
