Scott, who formerly played at 2 SEC schools, has been responsible for 71 touchdowns during Incarnate Word’s 2022 campaign. On Friday night, Scott’s Incarnate Word team fell to North Dakota State in the FCS playoffs, 35-32. Scott was 30-for-46 passing for 282 yards to lead Incarnate Word, as he threw a touchdown and was picked off twice. His touchdown pass was his 60th of the season, which extends his FCS record. He finished the season tied with LSU’s Joe Burrow for second place at all levels, 2 TDs behind former Western Kentucky QB Bailey Zappe’s all-time record for a season. Scott added 71 yards and 2 touchdowns on 21 carries. In the SEC, Scott previously played for LSU and Missouri. This was his seventh season after he initially signed with LSU and Les Miles in 2016, then transferred to East Mississippi Community College.
