Mainieri was horrible at stacking the pitching staff. sure he'd have a stud as the top of the rotation, but the depth was always lacking. as in they weren't even on the roster at all. hell multiple years there wasn't even a single left handed pitcher on the entire staff. Taylor was scheduled to be the Saturday starter. Edwards and Shores were basically your set-up and closer. Jaden Noot and Kaleb Appleby were freshmen that were projected above Herring and Guidry in the pecking order. secondly, you do know there are roster and scholarship limits we must follow, don't you? we can't just go out and replace them. so everyone behind them moves up. and newsflash, our 10th best arm is not as goos as our 5th best. but we're forced to ask him to be that good. but Add 5 arms to this roster that Fall somewhere between Skenes and let's say a Guidry/Stapleton/Hurd. holy shyte, that's as good as anyone else in the country has. Floyd as our 3rd starter? who has a 3rd starter better than him?
