That is as we say in old mexico "el toro poo poo" Look at it this way, he has a chance to hit it out of the yard and score 3. He has zero chance to bunt it over the fence. He has a better chance of hitting a dinger than he does of being safe on a bunt. If he hits it to the track then you accomplish the same as bunt.
