Make sure they check the frame, also be aware of this: Diminished value is the difference between a car's market value before an accident and its market value after repairs. Even if a car is restored to its pre-accident condition, it will still have an accident history on its vehicle history report, which can lower its value. This means that the car won't sell for as much as it would have before the accident. If they total it, my cousin owns two dealerships in Lafayette. He had dinner last night with us.
