Get Under the Bus, Dammit

Pawl is back to his old ways, tossing his guys under the bus.  If you listen/watch this interview, you'll see (at about the 4 minute mark) how after falling behind 10-1, and giving up a total of 15 runs in regulation, prior to Fontenot entering the game in the 10th, it was actually FONTENOT'S fault we lost yesterday.  The first series loss to Ole Piss in Baton Rouge since Ronald Reagan's FIRST term.

Smith committed a horrible error in the 2nd that would've ended the inning, scoreless.  Instead, 4 runs crossed the plate.  Part of that was on Duplantis as well who committed an error that allowed an EXTRA runner to score and another baserunner to advance into scoring position.

Marceux (same inning) decided to let the 2nd basemen field a bunt as if he's not allowed to even use his own glove.  Baserunner safe and run scores.

Fast forward to the 10th...Fontenot gave up two hits that are routine ground ball outs except...

THE COACH CALLED A SHIFT!!!  The infielders weren't in their normal position and the ball got through the infield where the COACH called for them to vacate the premises.

Oh, and forget the poor 3rd base coaching that likely cost us 3 runs in regulation.  Game would've been over in regulation had Cain not made horrible calls there.

TL;DR

Pawl is a great coach (historically), but I'm beginning to wonder if, since the death of his father, he still has love for the game.  He doesn't seem to care and it's pitiful for him to throw guys under the bus in the media like this.  He did it to Walker the day before, when LSU managed to scrape across a single run.  Sure, that's Walker's fault, right?
