LSU enters the 2019 season as one of the top teams to watch for the College Football Playoff.

One reason is the Tigers return eight starters on defense led by junior safety Grant Delpit.

LSU has had only nine unanimous All-Americans on the gridiron in its rich history and one was Delpit after his sensational sophomore season in 2018.

To earn that distinction, a player must earn first team honors from the five major organizations that select All-America teams – Walter Camp Foundation, Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, AFCA, and Sporting News.

Delpit earned that after he finished last season with 73 tackles, including 9.5 for losses and 5.0 sacks with an SEC-leading five interceptions.

Though the new year got off to a rough start when officials called Delpit for targeting in the first half of the Fiesta Bowl win over UCF, Delpit turned in a solid spring showing he was ready to step up even more

Fulton and Stingley may challenge him 😉

But Grant it one of my favorite tigers

This is going to be one of the better Defense Backfields anywhere, maybe the best in the Nation.

Way too much talent
