Fishhead Posted November 6, 2019 Share Posted November 6, 2019 First CFP poll was released, and there's a couple of surprises. 1. tOSU 2. LSU 3. Gumptards 4. Penn State? 5. Clemson The surprises to me are, LSU isn't #1 and Clemson isn't in the top 4. Interesting how the committee looks at SOS in my opinion. Clearly LSU has bigger wins than tOSU. LSU has defeated current #11 and #14 in AU and UF. That said, I DO like that they take into account the CURRENT standing of the wins and losses each team has. It hurts LSU, but Texas is NOT a top 10 win like we say it is. They're terrible. But here's what I don't like. If a team has beaten the #49 and #50 team in the country, they get more credit than a team that's beaten the #2 and the # 106 team in the country. Now you tell me...which team had the greatest chance to lose? But that's the way it is. Just goes to show why Nootch was so aggravated that we even play a team like NWSt. It's a detriment to our resume to say the least. We should NEVER play a non-D1 school. Yet here we are with Southern on a future schedule. STOP DOING THAT! It's fairly irrelevant. Beat InbredGumps and we're #1. I'm fine with being #2. Wouldn't wanna start at #3 like a certain team east of us. No #3 in the opening CFP has ever made the final playoff ranking. Let's keep it that way. Nutriaitch Posted November 6, 2019 Share Posted November 6, 2019 also maybe one day LSU will realize playing FCS Shithole Univesity is a detriment to their schedule and quit dreaming playing those schools. i’m relatively confident that we are (and absolutely should be) getting penalized for scheduling Northwestern State they are one of the worst teams in FCS.
