Fishhead
For RB coach. Tommy Robinson's contract has yet to be renewed, and it looks like he's headed to South Carolina for the same position. Faulk likely replaces him, which frees up another analyst position
Herb
Kevin Faulk probably has a few pointers for running backs wanting to learn the position.
houtiger
That's interesting. Robinson was one of O's hires after he got the HC job permanently. They had coached together at USC. Tommie is also the recruiting coordinator and we've been doing quite well at recruiting. Hmmmm... O has said he has only one question, what do we have to do to get better? LSUDad
Tommy missed on a few RB’s, spent too much time on a few. When his contract wasn’t renewed, O had someone on the staff better. Faulk could show them his three Super Bowl Rings. Kevin will do well recruiting, he will do well as a coach.
Fishhead
I think if you look at TRob as an RB coach, it's hard to complain. He coached Darrell Williams to the NFL, helped Nick Brossette to a 1000 yd season, and Clyde was probably the most complete back in the country this year. But yeah, I ain't gonna miss him as recruiting coordinator. O, Raymond, Busch, E, all better recruiters. Kevin will excel there.
LSUDad
He put a bunch in on Evans, knowing he was a Clown Show. Finely had to back it down. Many times missing on others. I agree Fish, Hoss will do well in recruiting. Younger, a change of pace. We have sent a number of backs into the pros, this will always continue.
houtiger
Kevin Faulk is certainly a legend in the state of La. He coached in Carencro after leaving the NFL, so he should have the Lafayette area scoped out well. I imagine he has met high school coaches all over the state. Yes, those super bowl rings should give him some credibility with the recruits.
Hatchertiger
I'll never forget the Houston game.
