  2. Brian Kelly has the most number of wins for active head coaches in college football yet somehow doesn't make this list. He has 283 wins. Adding the total wins of the last 5 coaches on that list (Lanning, Sarkasian, Kiffin, Liepold, and Day) beats Brian Kelly in number of wins by a whopping 16 victories. Nick Saban retired with 292 wins, temporarily besting Brian Kelly by a whopping 9 wins.
  3. https://www.si.com/college/lsu/basketball/lsu-commitment-bella-hines-kim-mulkey BREAKING: LSU WBB Lands Commitment From 4-Star Guard Bella Hines The Tigers reel in their first pledge of the offseason, No. 1 player in New Mexico makes her announcement. Kim Mulkey and the LSU women's basketball program has landed their first commitment in the 2025 cycle with four-star guard Bella Hines revealing her pledge to the Tigers on Tuesday. LSU has been tied to the Top 35 prospect for quite some time with Mulkey and Co. sealing the deal before she begins her AAU schedule this spring. The four-star guard is a player the Tigers covet, and after bringing her to Baton Rouge for a visit last weekend, LSU locked her up and secured her services. Hines was in for an official visit where she had the opportunity to see LSU defeat Rice and Middle Tennessee in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament; punching their ticket to the Sweet 16 in Albany, New York. After speaking with sources familiar with Hines recruitment, we believed LSU was in a solid position for the Top 35 recruit. Now, the No. 1 player in New Mexico has made things official after her announcement on social media. The No. 31 rated player in the 2025 class, the Tigers are high on her as a three-level scorer. Hines, a New Mexico native, has proven to be one of the most lethal bucket-getters in America after averaging a whopping 33 points per game as a junior. “In this business, you’re going to win some of those battles and you’re going to lose some,” Kim Mylkey said in February. “The crazy thing is you never know why a recruit chooses a school. Sometimes it’s close to home, sometimes it’s the players on the team, sometimes it’s being able to play quickly. Now, after being here for three years, it’s good to be a part of the conversation. Now, I don’t like just being in the top five. I don’t want to chase a wild goose, I want a legit shot at you. I think as we grow as a staff, I don’t care about numbers in front of kids’ names. There are so many overrated kids, then you watch those that don’t have a number in front of their names and they have great careers. I’m more into doing our homework, seeing who we like and let’s go after them and quickly eliminate those we don’t have a shot at She announced her top ten teams on March 17, including LSU, Iowa, Baylor, Arizona, Florida State, Texas Tech, NC State, West Virginia, TCU, and Kansas State with the defending National Champions beginning to separate themselves from the pack. LSU has been in New Mexico to hold in-home visits with Hines as well as check out a few of her games over the last few months. Now, it's full steam ahead to secure a signature from the four-star guard next December as LSU looks to build out its 2025 recruiting class.
  4. Every time I see his name I think of Marv "The Teeth" Albert...lol.
  5. I haven't thought of that song in years.
  6. Is that "Slow Learners University"?
  7. Pearson is on fire these first games.
  8. That was a great game. It was actually the 1st I got to see all year. What a 2nd half comeback! McMahon just needed a little time and I think he has LSU on the right path. The program basically imploded when Wade was fired and McMahon inherited a pile of didley-poo (my favorite Jim Mora quote).
  9. Agreed. If he is successful, I predict he'll head to the NFL. If he is less than successful, he'll get processed out a la Tom Hermann.
  10. My man crush is already getting named to All-SEC teams: https://lsutigerswire.usatoday.com/2024/02/08/lsu-baseball-tommy-white-hayden-travinski-preseason-all-sec-teams/
  11. WHO? Just kidding, brother...Happy Birthday!!!!
  12. Today is (the other) National Signing Day, FWIW. LSU is one of the "final 2" schools for the #1 athlete in the nation, who has previously verbally pledged to A&M. He's visited LSU three times in the last three months, with the last visit this week. https://www.si.com/college/lsu/football/lsu-football-the-latest-on-the-no-1-ath-in-america-terry-bussey
  13. Time to hop on the train!
  14. Part of this is due to kids having diminished options. If they go to UGA, they'll likely ride the pine a while Saban retired, so the Tide has lost its luster (see rats fleeing sinking ship) Billy Napier is not wht he was cracked up to be Texas A&M sucks (see rats fleeing sinking ship) B1G (however many teams there are now) is like going to play a bit part in a stage play that is not even in New York much less Broadway. You have 2 or 3 decent teams then the not ready for prime time teams Notre Dame will continue to be Notre Dame until they figure out how to buy a decent team with all their TV money For better or worse, we have room for the true cream to rise up into starting roles and our head coach is now the winningest active coach in CFB.
  15. Just throwing Dalton Hilliard out there... Also... Shaq Pete Maravich Chris Jackson/Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf Stanley Roberts
