LSUDad
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson thanks Ed Orgeron, congratulates LSU Andrew Olson | 9 hours ago In 2019, the whole country got to smell what LSU had cookin’ down in Baton Rouge. A 15-0 national championship run has the way of winning over new fans, even alumni of other championship college football programs. It probably won’t help on the field, but Ed Orgeron has successfully recruited wrestling legend and Hollywood megastar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, into showing some love for the Bayou Bengals. 00:03 03:44 On Saturday, Orgeron used his Twitter account to wish Johnson a happy birthday. Johnson returned the favor on Sunday, even saying “Geaux Tigers” and tacking on a “National Champions” hashtag: Thank you, Coach O. Always grateful for the lessons you taught me, that I was able to understand much later in life (finally;). Stay healthy and always proudly rooting you on. Geaux Tigers. #NationalChampions Johnson played on the defensive line at Miami from 1990-94. Orgeron coached Hurricanes defensive linemen from 1988-92. The overlapping period includes UM’s 1991 national championship season. Johnson turned 48 on Saturday. Dwayne Johnson ✔@TheRock Thank you, Coach O.
