He has been fighting health problems for a while now. I was in BTR today eating with a few friends at Pocorellos. The announcement had just been released. Good for conversation. Admittedly, I am not much of a baseball fan but Mainieri's teams always eliminated any hope I had for the LSU baseball team to win. Mainieri's teams never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity despite tier 1 level of talent. I am surprised he was not replaced 3-5 years ago.
