Herb
Max Johnson was 17/27 for 280 YDS, 4 TDs, and 1INT. That makes 6 straight games with 3 or more TDs. Johnson became the 1st QB in LSU history to throw for at least 3 TDs in each of his 5 starts. Johnson also became the first quarterback since Rohan Davey to pass for three touchdowns of over 40 yards in the same game.

LSUDad
Eli Ricks set for surgery, will miss remainder of season BySHEA DIXON 3 hours ago Share89 Comments LSU has already lost cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. to a season-ending injury, with Stingley undergoing surgery with expectations that he will not suit up again for the Tigers this fall. Now, the Tigers have been dealt another blow. And once again, it was at the cornerback position. On Wednesday, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron revealed starting cornerback Eli Ricks will miss the entire as the result of a nagging injury that will now require surgery. "It's a sustained injury that kept on coming back and coming back," Orgeron said. "He and his family decided to get it operated on and get it fixed. I think he gets it fixed pretty soon. It was a nagging injury, and he kept on playing with it and playing with it. And it kept re-occurring, so they decided to get it operated on." Through six games, Ricks had 11 tackles, two passes defended and one interception. Down a pair of starters at cornerback, LSU will move forward with sophomore Dwight McGlothern and a mix of other backups like Raydarious Jones and Darren Evans, among others. LSU could move nickel Cordale Flott or safety Jay Ward to the cornerback spot, though Flott has been excellent in the nickel this season and Ward is one of the key pieces to a safety room that's also been bitten by injuries. It's been a rough week for the Tigers on the injury front with the team's best offensive skill player, Kayshon Boutte, also set to miss the entire season with an injury. Boutte was tied for the NCAA lead in touchdown receptions after six weeks of the season. The Tigers will also not have starting defensive end Ali Gaye available on Saturday as he battles through a nagging injury that's expected to keep him sidelined, which comes after starting defensive end Andre Anthony was injured earlier this year and is set to miss the entire season. Herb
My Man crush - Max Johnson - came through with a stellar performance against Texas A&M to ensure the Tigers did not have a losing record this year and made LSU bowl eligible. Johnson was 22 completions out of 38 attempts with 306 passing yards, 3 TDs, and 0 ints. In addition, he rushed for a few key 1st downs but unfortunately ended up with -9 yards rushing due to several sacks Texas A&M had. Johnson's 2 TD passes to Jaray Jenkins were things of beauty.
