houtiger Posted November 12, 2021 Share Posted November 12, 2021 Good job guys! I enjoyed the game, even got excited in the fourth quarter. We had a shot, with a QB who was not playing with confidence. We know we've recruited well the last 4 years, and the depth on the team showed with all the backups playing. That said, this was not a typical Gumps team. They lost a TON of talent to the NFL last year, six players drafted in the first round and two more in the second round. So, we were on par talent wise with one of the weaker Gumps teams in the last 10 years. Of course we had a ton of starters out. At any rate, for any head coach considering the LSU job, he needs to look at that and believe the cupboard is NOT bare. Look at the kids in the 2022 signing class, and we may lose a kid we would like to keep, but several of the top kids, Walker Howard and the 5* OT are still committed. If you look at that, you would have to be impressed. Woodward seems to be a good guy to work for.
