He has the skill set from what I've seen. What he needs is experience and more of a command of the offense. I don't see burning his redshirt as that big of a deal. Kids turn pro in 3 years if they are great, and he could return for his Sr. year if he wants to. I guess the NCAA granted him a waiver so he does not lose his redshirt. LSU applied for the waiver a couple of weeks ago, maybe three. It appears the waiver was granted. The other explanation would be he wants to play 3 more years and go pro. That does not seem likely since Brennan likely will beat him out this season, then he would have to fight it out with Howard. I think he got the waiver if he is going to play.
