RIP SabanFan

Terry, or as many of us knew him, SabanFan, passed away today at 12:15pm

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. He will be greatly missed by many. Terry was a great person,  dedicating much of his time in retirement to working with scout troops from across the country, introducing them to the Atchafalaya Basin, taking them fishing, cooking for them, camping.

His wife,  Anne, appreciates our prayers

Hey everyone, I posted on the old forum years ago but have kept up real-life contact with many of the folks here even as my online presence has diminished.

I learned today of Terry’s death. I first knew him through his online persona and luckily got to know him in person as well and kept in touch on Facebook. When I was a student at LSU, I actually interviewed him at his home in Breaux Bridge as part of a field project to record the Cajun French language before it disappears. He picked on me for how subpar my French was, which I loved.

Repose en paix.
