houtiger
Thanks for that LSUDad, good interview! Around the 42:45 minute mark he mentions something that perks up my ears. Jordy says Mekhi Garner was in and spoke about how his body has developed since he has been at LSU. House mentions two people on the staff, Jake Flint, the new strength coach, and Dr. Matt Frakes who is now in charge of nutrition. I remember a few years back, people were wondering at times is our player conditioning was not up to the level of Gumps, or even other teams in the SEC. Our linemen were puffing in the fourth quarter with hands on hips. I also remember that at the time we may have lacked depth on the d-line and that could have been part of it. So, I wonder if we will be able to see a difference on the field this season? We also heard some of the media talk about a different look of the players from January to the start of spring camp, in particular Will Campbell the freshman offensive tackle came in at 310 in Jan. and started the spring at 325. I have not heard anything about the coaches holding the players accountable for making their workout schedule, but it seems that would be mandatory under a Brian Kelly regime. But I continue to hear about players transforming their bodies, and that sounds like a good thing. Jake Flint and Dr. Frakes, remember those names. Strength and nutrition. https://lsusports.net/sports/fb/roster/coach/jake-flint/ https://lsusports.net/staff/dr-matt-frakes/
