Enjoy!!!

I enjoyed it a lot.  Michael Brooks is a LB that I enjoyed.  That guy could change the trajectory of a game.  When you needed a big stop on 3rd down and 4, Brooks would break through the line and tackle the runner for a 2 yard loss.  He didn't do it once, he did it consistently.

I looked Brooks up, 6'1" 236.  First team all american, played in one pro bowl.  Brooks had a bad knee injury with the Bronco's, never was the same after that.  He was a good starter, but no longer an all pro performer.

He was drafted by Denver when I lived there.  I was really looking forward to see him be a factor in the pros but it wasn't to be.

Shortly after being drafted there was an incident where he was driving a Suzuki Samarai or Sidekick and took a turn too sharply and wound up having the car tip on his side. It was at night and I think he had been partying.

Someone called it in and Brooks had lifted the car up and was tipping it back on its wheels just as the cops arrived. I don't think the cops had ever seen that before. Not sure if a citation was issued but it made the local papers at the time.
