To Mr. Burrow and Tracy.

Well deserved honors. Especially Mr. Tracy. Contrats to the two Tigers!

BATON ROUGE – LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and placekicker Cole Tracy have been named Southeastern Conference Players of the Week for their performance in the Tigers’ 22-21 win over seventh-ranked Auburn on Saturday.

Burrow was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week, while Tracy picked up SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. The SEC award is the second of the year for Tracy, who was also honored following LSU’s season-opening victory over Miami. The award is the first for Burrow as LSU’s quarterback.

Against Auburn on Saturday, in just his third career start, Burrow engineered an 11-point second half comeback as the Tigers overcame a 21-10 third quarter deficit to win at Jordan-Hare for just the second time since 2008.

After a Tracy field goal pulled LSU to within 21-13, Burrow got the Tigers to within 21-19 with a 71-yard TD pass to Derrick Dillon with 8:18 left in game. He then drove the Tigers 52 yards on 14 plays, which included two third-down conversions and one fourth-down conversion, to setup Tracy’s game-winning 42-yard field goal as time expired.
