  1. The INT was fun We scored late It was far better than the first quarter. That was too painful to watch. If you start in the 2nd, it's bad but gets better and finishes with a happy ending. Who likes a movie with no drama??
  2. I just said they didn't score a TD on every possession in the 2nd quarter. This is a substantiated fact. In no quarter did the defense remotely resemble 2003 or 2007.
  3. I specified TD. So yeah, 100% is way better TD ratio than 33%
  4. We're scoring 38 if not 40 But even with y'all's offense, not sure we cover lol.
  5. I don't recall them scoring a TD on every possession in the 2nd quarter
  6. Bottom line, as the DL improves, so will the defense. The secondary was always going to be an issue. It was expected the front four would mitigate that issue and to this point they have been a non-factor... Until Saturday. They're still responsible for the atrocious rush Defense early. If they can focus on rush Defense the rest of the way with who we'll face, we can outscore everyone else on the schedule. The secondary is what it is. We just beat an undefeated ranked SEC team on the road in arctic conditions at 11am Jefferson Pilot start time. (60s and lower is arctic)
  7. I'm with CO on the ugly. First half, sure, but allowing as little as we did in the 2nd half with that good a QB and WR corps shows massive improvement. Good-Our offense. Jayden Daniels should seriously be in the Heisman discussion. He's on pace with 2019 Joe Burrow and NOBODY saw that coming. Diggs is a hoss... we DO have a bell cow. Malik and BTJ are awesome, and Taylor is a weapon. The OL is better than they get credit for, and still very young. DJ Chester needs to stay at C the rest of the way. The Bad- The defense in the first quarter and really first half was awful again. Overall gave up another ton of yds. Needs to continue improvement. Nootch will disagree, but the zone worked better in the 2nd half. Due to lack of ball skills by the entire secondary, they're simply incapable of man coverage. The Ugly- Worst officiated game I've ever seen, both ways. That crew should never be allowed to work above middle school level again. Atrocious. This includes all the Auburn games AT Jordan Hare in history.
  8. Perkins did a bunch of everything this game. Last year he was just a pin your ears back and attack the offensive backfield role. He's been in coverage a bunch this season.
  9. He has 0 chance at 1st round draft pick for 2024 draft
  10. I think they slow played to a degree, but Texas schools got on him early. Like before he was a known commodity. Like before BK and staff were truly up to speed. I also think he's a tad overrated, but only time will tell. Whether he's truly a 5* or 4* is somewhat irrelevant though. Gotta get either if they're Louisiana kids. But some don't grow up wanting to do anything but play for LSU, while others grow up looking for a way out. Can't blame either really. Everybody's situation is different.
  11. He always over analyzes things for sure lol
  12. Heard didn't play against Arky and it's for the exact reasons you noted. Greg Brooks is sorely missed. We noted in the preseason podcast the secondary was going to be the biggest issue. Now that we see that issue and it's exacerbated by Brooks' absence, it's all the more important for the DL to get pressure. Personally I'd be starting Wingo and Jefferson in the middle, Jones and Swinson outside, Penn, Perkins, and Weeks rounding out the front 7. Womack would be on standby. I trust Harris and Zy are the best CBs, but I may give Yaites or Toviano a shot to play safety if not start. I'd sure be pushing them in practice to step up.
  13. We can't afford to execute any of em, but if we had secondary depth, I'd consider it.
  14. Good-BTJ. I picked Lacy as my breakout player on offense in the preseason podcast Bad- Tackling Ugly- Coverage We can blame House, but last week he was praised. It's personnel (lack thereof) and execution in my opinion.
  15. Related to the Kaleb Jackson truck stick as discussed in this podcast...THIS is how you finish a truck stick, KJ! Keep going lol
  16. I would expect the results of the biopsy to take about a week. Like Nootch, I also have a nephew, he's 34 now. While in his mid 20s, working nights as a paramedic, he was wading in the Gulf one morning after work, LUCKILY with his fiancé at the time. He suddenly collapsed into the water, and fortunately his fiancé was able to rescue him from drowning. Initially the thought was he passed out from exhaustion. But they did an MRI and in fact he had a brain tumor. For him, he did have surgery, but his tumor was not "encapsulated", and they were unable to get all of it. And it is cancer. At that point, they have to weigh the options. How much cancerous material can they get without affecting his motor functions, so they didn't get it all. He has undergone chemo and radiation and is actually still working as HEAD paramedic in Pensacola FL. His only side effect is a pronounced limp, but he blames that on a foot injury none of us ever heard about, including my sister...his mother. But point being, there's a ton of examples of otherwise healthy people surviving and thriving through something like this. My prayer is for Greg to survive and thrive, and if it is thriving on the football field, so be it. But I don't care if he's a car salesman. Just praying for survival and thrival in life.
