Ex-Ohio State Player Shares Graphic To Prove Michigan 'Cheated'

One former Ohio State player thinks he has proof that Michigan was cheating.

It came in the form of a graphic put up by ESPN on Thursday. The graphic showed Jim Harbaugh's record at Michigan before and after hiring Connor Stalions as an off-field analyst.

Harbaugh sported a 69-24 record before Stalions and a 21-1 record after Stalions, with an improvement on both the offense and defense in terms of points per game.

Former Ohio State defensive end Matt Finkes thinks that's proof enough that Michigan cheated.

For all the “can’t beat us on the field so have to hope we get punished” Michigan folks out there, before you try to play that card, consider the “couldn’t beat us on the field so had to resort to cheating” reply Michigan cheated

"For all the 'can’t beat us on the field so have to hope we get punished' Michigan folks out there, before you try to play that card, consider the 'couldn’t beat us on the field so had to resort to cheating' reply," he said on social media. "Michigan cheated."

The sign stealing scandal has dominated the world of college football and doesn't seem to be going away any time soon.

Zach Arnett is out at Mississippi State before completing his first season. One reason MSU is pulling the plug early is because it can afford to make the move.

As a first-time head coach born in 1986, Arnett did not demand a huge salary when he was hired to succeed the late Mike Leach. According to The Clarion-Ledger, documents show Arnett’s buyout requires Mississippi State to pay 50% of his remaining $9 million salary.

afford to financially?  sure.  it's less than $5 mil.

now you have to sell the next guy on going to a place that didn't even give a guy a full season before yanking the plug.

True, but you can do that with the contract terms.  I don't think anyone will be offering a Jimbo type contract, but a good coach would demand a four or five year deal with a favorable buyout to the coach.

Arnett had no other shot at a head coach job, so he took a chance, took a poor contract for the opportunity.  If that's the only shot you have, take it.  He is not suffering financially.

yeah, if Arnett is who you’re targeting.

but if you want a big name, you just painted yourself into having to give a ridiculous buyout.

because nobody with options is taking a job that is a rebuild, that the athletic department KNEW would take multiple years, then gave him only 10 games and a minuscule buyout.

Miss state has not hired a "big name" coach, since maybe Jackie Sherrill who won a natty at Pittsburg with Tony Dorsett.  Sherrill went to A&M for the biggest contract ever for a college coach (can't say A&M has been cheap), and after 6 years underwhelming years, Sherrill went to Miss. State and was underwhelming.  I don't think State will go big game hunting.

Sherrill was pretty innovative....

"September 23, 1992 -Mississippi State University’s football coach had a bull castrated in front of his team before a big game this month because he thought it would be “motivational and educational.”

Jackie Sherrill, the head coach at Mississippi State, invited the bull’s owner to castrate the animal on the practice field in the week preceding the team’s victory over the University of Texas at Austin. The Texas mascot is a longhorn steer."

doubt it, I don't think A&M would want the balls removed.
they seem to like grabbing them.

Brian Kelly rumors: Texas A&M insider suggests LSU coach could pursue possible big-time job opening

Andrew Olson | 51 minutes ago

Brian Kelly is not yet 2 full seasons removed from leaving Notre Dame for LSU. According to one college football insider, though, there is some chatter about Kelly potentially leaving for another job.

Texas A&M insider Billy Liucci, who broke the news of Jimbo Fisher’s firing, recently appeared on “Pregaming the SEC” with Jacob Hester and Chris Doering. While talking about possible landing spots for Fisher, Liucci brought up a potential move for Kelly.

“There’s a couple people in coaching that told me, ‘Hey, watch out for Brian Kelly. He’s not a perfect fit there in Baton Rouge. He might be pursuing that Michigan job if it comes open,’” Liucci told the show.

Atm is trying to "LSU" LSU. This is a ploy to try and get us to give Kelly even more money.

Not going to happen.

The house of cards premise that the A&M booster was spewing is that Michigan will fire Harbaugh (which would lead to Kelly becoming interested because there is food more to his liking up there?)

Michigan is happy with Harbaugh even with the cheating scandal... he isn't getting fired and isn't going to bolt for the NFL.

But even if all of that falls into play and Michigan makes Kelly an offer, Woodward will show his poker face and let likely Kelly walk rather than put LSU in a position with Kelly that A&M did with Jimbo.

I don't see Kelly as not being a fit.  We had a "perfect fit" coach and that didnt end well

Perfect Fit? That term is a joke. At LSU, you win, you fit. If you do what you’re supposed to do on and off the field, you fit in.
Jay Johnson, born in California, the furthest he’s coached East was in Arizona.

LSU has had a number of not good fits. What about the two Hillbillies?

Paul Finebaum asked LSU athletic director Scott Woodward about the back and forth between the Alabama coach and Texas A&M coach.

“I’m not going to get in between two hillbillies fightin’ from West Virginia. That’s a no-win situation,” Woodward said when he made an appearance on “The Paul Finebaum Show.”

Les Miles, a fit? Dale Brown? Skip? The list is endless.

Mulkey and Woodward are from here, O was one of us.

No coaching change at Baylor yet, but Aranda is on the hot seat.  He talks about not doing well with NIL.  Word was he did not like to recruit, may be why he ignored NIL.  Good coordinator, not a good head coach.  The head coach is supposed to be the recruiting closer, Aranda does not inspire.  Smart guy, nice guy.
