  1. While I don't disagree, we never get frothed up over hires for Florida, Auburn, A&M, etc.,.
  2. AKA: Crab Legs State
  3. I actually can't find a shit to give about who will be their coach.

    Nick Out!!!

If Alabama made Saban go from this: To this: Just imagine what they'll do to their next coach!
  5. Pete Carroll? Urban Meyer is probably on the phone with the Bama AD begging for it. Don't laugh...Les Miles? Mike Vrabel Whoever becomes the guy that replaces the midget is doomed anyway. Good Luck and enjoy your 3 year honeymoon.

  8. Couldn't agree more. He needs a great combine and pro day to push him up some. I got the impression that after his injury he kind of was "treading water" instead of going all out to avoid further injury. I could be wrong, though. Hope he has a great pro career, nevertheless.
  9. Mr. Home Depot should offer Saban!
  10. I think Penix is overrated and all of the talk from Husky fans that he was robbed of the Heisman has been exposed. Watching the NCG last night, there were time that his release was quick and sweet but other times that his over the shoulder passing mechanics looked over exaggerated motion-wise. It was like he struggled to throw deep balls (that were usually off the mark last night). For his short passes, he seemed to prefer to sling side arm. The last NFL QB I can remember that used a fair amount of side arm passes was Steve Young and that was only in the very early years of his career (in Tampa Bay) - once he got under Bill Walsh with the 49ers, his throwing motions were almost exclusively over the shoulder motions. The NFL defenders are just too fast and good to allow anyone to consistently throw side arm. I really wanted Washington to win (I have a strong dislike for the Harbaughs), but I have to hand it to Michigan's defense. Those guys came to play. Their ball carriers all seemed to be able to turn on the jets at just the right time, which shows good coaching and discipline in terms of the runners waiting for tyheir blockers to engage before they shifted gears. I know my niece will be happy...she had a full scholarship to Michigan and was an Academic All American on their softball team.
  11. This is a great cause and a great event. It makes me happy that you're involved in this, @LSUDad. When I was a kid, I used to participate in a Cystic Fibrosis "Bike-A-Thon" fundraiser where I'd ask people to pledge a monetary amount for every mile I rode on a route in City Park in New Orleans. Sometimes I had trouble collecting because people didn't expect that I'd log over 50 miles and it was more than the $5 or $10 they envisioned.
  12. Some LSU fans need that reminding, too.
  13. What an amazing 8 days for LSU football!

  15. I wish Heard luck. He'll play somewhere but he has to realize that his 5 star ranking might have been a bit overblown. There is a reason why he didn't crack a starting job ANYWHERE along LSU's line. Often you see players that can play tackle get moved inside...why didn't that happen with Heard? LSU needs to process out about 4 or 5 more players to stay under the 85 scholarship cap limit. I'm pretty sure that is why Diggs is hitting the portal.

    Lawsuit

Be careful about being the 1st to cast a stone. https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/courts/sharon-lewis-ordered-to-pay-les-miles-in-lawsuit-claiming-lsu-coverup-heres-how-much/article_24ce42e6-ac10-11ee-8f8a-c72245a932e6.html
  17. Class act by Drinkwitz.
  18. There is an undeniable logic there.
  19. Because he grades out as a late day 2 pick/UDFA? Anyone that has spent time in chat during a game knows my feelings about Major Burns. Freaking Poser.
  20. So the good news is that Bama is recruiting the #2 QB for 2025 hard (George MacIntyre). If Little Nicky pulls the cash rabbit out of the hat and winds up snagging Bryce Underwood from us, MacIntyre has LSU ranked as his #2 destination. Least that is what I heard Shea Dixon discussing (FWIW).
  21. Yeah, much of this "group gossip think". Same thing happened when we were looking for a head coach. Absolutely nobody had Kelly on their radar (except for someone that is an absolute nobody).
  22. Did he go to Georgetown? LOL.
  23. I still wouldn't mind seeing Jim Leonard as DC.
  24. Not unpopular, just hope Raymond gets a cold splash of water in his face and realizes that it is LSU that makes coaches famous, not the other way around. We know he can recruit DBs.
  25. My feeling is that Nuss loves LSU and is all in. This isn't a stepping stone for him, but I think he appreciates and honors the stage that he now stands on. His game has some limitations that need offensive scheme crafting and construction to downplay in his overall effectiveness. And maybe he needs to put some training time in to make his mobility more nimble? At any rate, he does have NFL bonafides and we have the players to capitalize on that and allow him to shine providing we gameplan to accentuate what he brings to the table. I think Sloane will become OC and will likely do all of that. I hope we don't lose Hankton if Sloane becomes OC (or vice versa). I don't see us having "Co-Offensive Coordinators. Lastly, it's a great day to be an LSU fan...the Tigers have had back to back 10 win seasons on the heels of Kelly inheriting a team w/ 35 scholarship players and we've had one of the most impressive recruiting hauls in recent memory (and we might not be finished there). In addition, Alabama, Texas, and Georgia won't be able to hit the recruiting or portal trail claiming a championship. The sun is shining...relish in its warmth!
